A Better Way

Our mission is to end violence and abuse in family situations so that every person can live in a peaceful home.
 

A Better Way provides a safe, residential shelter for victims of domestic violence. A Better Way operates a 24-hour crisis intervention by telephone or in person. Women and children who are victims can remain in the shelter for 45 days.  They will receive education and emotional support as well as referrals to help meet the needs of the family.

A Better Way has a comprehensive service plan designed to provide each  woman and her children with the counseling , information, and support needed to move though the crisis period and onto more peaceful living. Providing children a violence-free environment can help prevent future generation of family violence.
